高校授業料無償化は天下の愚策: 白鳥 敬の1000文字コラム　♨

　高校の授業料の無償化が一部で進められている。
　大阪では遂に一部の公立高校の志望者が定員を下回ったという。
　公立だけでなく私立高校まで無償化したものだから、受験生がブランドイメージの高い私立校の方に殺到したためだ。まさに公教育の破壊である。こうなることは最初からわかっていたことだ。

　しかも免除された授業料は生徒個人にではなく、学校に渡されるという。これでは私立学校への補助金と同じだ。
　生徒個人を支給対象にして、親の収入が一定額以下の家庭に返済不要の奨学金にすればいいだけのことではないのか。

　私立学校は高い授業料を払って、独自の質の高い教育を受けさせるための学校だ。高校授業料無償化は、私立学校の価値まで低下させるものといえる。

　教育の平等も、受験生の努力も、公立私立混交の秩序も何もかもぶち壊す愚策だと思う。得をするのは経営の苦しい私立学校だけではないのか。


What's more, the waived tuition fees will not be sent to individual students but to schools. This is the same as subsidies to private schools.
Wouldn't it be easier to make them available to individual students as scholarships that do not need to be repaid for families with parental incomes below a certain amount?

Private schools are schools where students pay high tuition fees to receive a unique, good education. It can be said that free high school tuition will even reduce the value of private schools.

I think it is a foolish policy that will destroy everything: equality in education, the efforts of applicants, and the order of the mix of public and private schools. Aren't the only ones who benefiting?
